Whitney Port in Search of Perfect Ken-Like Boyfriend
Whitney Port is hosting a dreamy new competition – the former “The Hills” star is leading the search for the perfect boyfriend most like a Ken doll. Port has signed on to host new reality series “Genuine Ken: The Search for the Great American Boyfriend”, which aims to find a man who embodies all the qualities of Barbie’s man.
The show is being produced as part of toymakers at Mattel’s 50th anniversary of the Ken doll next year, reports Variety.com. Stephanie Cota, senior Vice President of Mattel Girls brands, explains, “He’s getting a makeover to make sure he’s still as culturally and visually relevant as Barbie is. He’s getting a little work done to get ready for his 50th anniversary.”
“With a 50-year history, you have people who have been embracing (Barbie and Ken) from day one. The series is a great way for us… to have grown-up girls and boys stay connected to the brand.”

” saw Vergara’s Gloria fighting with O’Neill’s Jay about how Andean nation is full of backward, violent people. So fed up was Gloria that she compared Colombia to Peru in a degrading manner for the latter.
Jay began his argument with, “Now, maybe in Colombia …,” before he was cut by Gloria saying “Ah, here we go. Because, in Colombia, we trip over goats and we kill people in the street. Do you know how offensive that is? Like we’re Peruvians!”
This quickly became a topic of discussion online, mainly by angry Peruvians. “It’s incredible that in a country where everything is politically correct, ABC would have a line of this sort,” said Milagros Lizarraga, founder of Peru USA Southern Ca, an online community that communicates through social media.
“Many Peruvians think this is no coincidence, that she knew what she was saying, because an actress has the power to say, ‘No, I can’t say this because it would hurt my image,’” Lizarraga said as quoted by AP. “Unless she agrees with what she said.”
